Corpus Christi, TX 78401
The Waterbird Society will hold its 46th Annual Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. Watching birds is part of the fabric of Corpus Christi, a city that has been named the nation’s “birdiest city” for 10-years running. The city is the northern gateway to the Laguna Madre, one of the few hypersaline lagoons in the world providing a habitat for vast numbers of wintering and migratory shorebirds and waterfowl. The bays and marshes north of Corpus Christi are best known in birding circles as a wintering habitat for the Endangered Whooping Crane, which typically begin to arrive in the area during late October.
The Scientific Program will be November 01 - November 03, 2022. Council will meet on October 31, 2022 and the Business Meeting followed by the Awards Ceremony and Banquet will occur on November 03, 2022. Field trips will occur on November 04, 2022.
