Danielle A. Marshall is a Master's student in Environmental Science working with HRI Chair for HydroEcology, Dr. Paul Montagna. Danielle grew up in La Verne, CA and moved to Corpus Christi, TX in January 2020. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA holding three very diversive internships during her undergraduate career. This included being an aquarist intern, water quality & riparian field intern, and lastly an environmental planning intern. Prior to enrolling in the Master's program at TAMU-CC she was a laboratory technician for the City of Corpus Christi testing the wastewater and drinking water throughout Nueces county and surrounding areas.
Her Master's thesis focuses on creating nutrient budget models of nonconservative materials for the seven major estuaries along the Texas coast to improve the knowledge and understanding of the nutrient dynamics in the coastal zone as global change accelerates. She is not sure what her future plans are, but knows that she wants to make a difference wherever she goes.
