Daunte is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Marine Biology, and a minor in Creative Writing. He is from Dallas, Texas where his aspiration for Marine Biology grew. He worked as an intern for Dr. Simon Geist in the Early Life History Research lab at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he sampled and identified different species of larval fish on the coast. Now he works at HRI for Dr. Pollack as a research assistant in the Coastal Conservation and Restoration Lab where he identifies and samples marine and freshwater fish from coastal estuaries.
