Jen is a technician for Dr. Jennifer Pollack in the Coastal Conservation and Restoration Ecology Lab. She assists with a variety of projects on oyster reef restoration, water quality and habitat monitoring, and food web studies across the Texas coast. She earned her B.S. in Environmental Studies from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. She began studying oysters as an REU intern at Duke University Marine Lab. She expanded that project into her undergraduate senior honors thesis, researching the impact of recreational boat noise on oyster larvae settlement. After graduation, she joined the Haskin Shellfish Research Lab at Rutgers University. She recently moved to Texas from New Jersey and is looking forward to settling into life at Corpus Christi.
