Yvonne Sheasby is a graduate student working with Senior Executive Director and HRI Endowed Chair for Socio-Economics, Dr. David Yoskowitz, and Senior Research Scientist and Director of Texas OneGulf, Dr. Katya Wowk. Yvonne received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, where she emphasized in Policy and Regulations. Her work focuses on natural disaster resilience and recovery in the Texas Coastal Bend. While pursuing her M.S. degree, Ms. Sheasby will be assisting Dr. Wowk with the Regional Resilience Partnership of the South Texas Coastal Bend. Prior to joining the Harte Research Institute, Yvonne worked at Texas Sea Grant as a Natural Resources Intern where she helped form partnerships between government entities, non-profit organizations, and educational institutes on local environmental projects such as the Early Phase Watershed Planning for Baffin Bay and Aransas Pathways Invasive Species Management projects.
